Graduated in 1986 from The University of Medicine, Iassy, Romania, and practiced Family Medicine until her arrival in Canada, where, in 2002, she graduated from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Presently, Dr. Mitrea has divided her time between her natural medicine clinics and teaching Science-based and Alternative medicine subjects at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Institute of Natural Health Technologies and Shiatsu Academy of Tokyo.
Her clinical work and research have taken her further into the study of natural healing modalities such as Iridology and Kinesiology, techniques to which she has aggressively applied her scientific nature and knowledge and is now developing advanced theories and techniques designed to enhance the effectiveness of clinical and practical skills of practitioners of holistic medicine.
As an accomplished author, Dr. Mitrea’s first book, “Pathology and Nutrition...A Guide for Professionals”, was originally published in February 2005, and now, three printings later, is being utilized as the teaching manual of first choice in holistic educational institutions across North America.
Her present writing project, based upon her unique combination of experience and knowledge in the Western and alternative medicine fields, will focus upon the mushrooming field of Gerontology…said to be the growth industry of today’s tomorrow, and is scheduled to be published in spring 2007.
